The tower is located in the Puijontie region. It is 75 metres high and has been a concrete landmark since 1963. To get to the foot of the tower, you have to climb a long staircase which is quite sporty! While climbing, we can see on our left the famous ski jumping track of the Olympic Games, it is impressive. Once at the top of the stairs, Puijo Peak, who is responsible for the operation of the tower, offers different activities such as snow tubing, sled dogs and a virtual ski jumping. We also climbed inside the tower and had a 360° view of the North Savonian national landscape. We saw the city of Kuopio, Finnish forests and lakes. And as the saying goes, after the effort, the comfort, we warmed up with a good hot chocolate. And to end the day we went to a fireplace and had a great BBQ!
Exceptionally during the whole month of January, the tower was lit up in pink to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Savonia.
We went back in February, for Valentine's Day they hung a lot of hearts, it was so cute!
